Advanced Executive Coaching Institute

Wednesday, January 15 - Friday, January 17, 2025
Berkeley Faculty Club

Deepen your mastery of executive coaching in our brand-new Advanced Executive Coaching Institute. Designed for certified ECI grads with either existing executive coaching practices or senior leadership roles, we’ll dive deep into intensive skill-building sessions and explore cutting-edge coaching practices. Our program is designed to not only enhance your existing capabilities but also introduce you to new modalities in the field.

This program will provide 20 hours of continuing education that you can apply toward ICF certification or ICF credential renewal. Participants will receive a certificate of completion from Berkeley Executive Coaching Institute.

One of the most beneficial things from BECI was the high level of coaching, mentorship, and feedback from faculty coupled with hands on practice, that level of reflection was a unique experience.

Program Outline

Advanced ECI is an opportunity for ECI alums to develop bold new skills in a community of practice. We’ve outlined some of the elements we plan to include below - the schedule will be finalized later this fall.

  • Heirloom Exercise: Please bring an "heirloom" of some kind to Day 1 of the program. "Heirloom" can have a wide range of meanings in this context: it can be an item that has been in your family for many generations (some people have shown a coin, a piece of jewelry, photos, etc), or simply an item that has heart and meaning for you.

Meet Your Peer Coach: You'll be matched with a peer coach for the program who will partner with you throughout the program to provide practice and feedback opportunities.

Story Salon: Deepen your own self-reflection while learning a modality and practicing new ways to hold space for powerful moments.

  • Physical & Spiritual Intelligence: Build an advanced mindfulness toolkit with new practices and skills from a variety of traditions.

Fishbowl Coaching: Over the course of the program, each participant will demonstrate their coaching in front of the group, receiving rigorous and comprehensive feedback from the faculty and fellow participants.

Modality Exchange: Participants will each share a modality that addresses a particular scenario and collaborate on refining each modality. Then, at the Coaches Conference, participants will have the opportunity to teach their refined modalities to the broader community.

  • Powerful Coaching Engagements: As a BECI coach, you're not the kind of coach who will just say, "you get 6 sessions and done." To be advanced is to say, "I'm the kind of coach who can measure growth and improvement." Learn and share ways to communicate and deliver impact.

Incorporating Assessments "The BECI Way": Participants will choose to receive either the EQi 2.0 or Clifton StrengthsFinder assessment, and collectively practice ways to debrief assessments with boldness and creativity.

Honoring Your Peer Partner: The program will close with a very special opportunity to honor your Peer Partner in a creative acknowledgment of "who you are as a coach."
